Ralph Martin

Ralph was born in Butler County, Kentucky on April 27, 1929.  In 1951 he stood 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighed in at 134 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

In Ralph’s stock car driving career he rolled four cars with only a gash on his shoulder as an injury.  These rollovers earned him the nickname “Reckless” Ralph Martin. 

Martin has raced at Beech Bend, Russellville, Hopkinsville, and Horse Cave, Kentucky.  His last car was No. 73, owned by his brother, Louis Martin, Jr.  It was a 1937 Ford body with a 1950 Ford motor.
